San Siro
by Michael Sturgess
I have been to the Stadio Gieseppe Meazza aka San Siro four times to see AC Milan play and I’ve never seen them lose – unlike most of my trips to the Emirates Stadium to watch Arsenal.
On my four visits to the San Siro I’ve seen a total of 15 goals – some good and some bad – and some great Milan players: Cafu, Seedorf, Pirlo, Kaka, Crespo, Shevchenko (before he went a bit shite) and Saint David of Beckham.
These photos are from the 3-1 win for Milan vs Udinese in 2005. I just about survived shivering up in the 3rd tier as an icy cold wind blew in from the opposite side of the stadium for the 90 minutes.
For all future visits I’ve sat in the opposite tier as the icy cold wind rushed across the stadium.
My first visit coincided with the 20th anniversary since Paolo Maldini made his Serie A debut.
